- Meanwhile, California has fired head coach Ben Braun. Jon Wilner’s blog lists Randy Bennett (St. Mary’s), Mike Montgomery (formerly of Stanford), Eric Musselman (formerly of NBA’s Kings), Jamie Dixon (Pitt, a west coast guy originally), Tony Bennett (Washington State; won’t happen), Sean Miller (Xavier; he’ll have other opportunities), San Diego’s Bill Grier, Brad Holland (former U San Diego), Seth Greenberg (Virginia Tech), and a couple of other names that I’d say are less likely.
